Bixby : Samsung Galaxy S8 virtual assistant

Recent reports say that Samsung Galaxy S8's virtual assistant will be integrated with all the stock apps on the phone.

Samsung Galaxy S8’s virtual assistant Bixby could be integrated with all the apps on the phone.

Samsung is supposed to incorporate a virtual voice assistant in the Galaxy S8 called Bixby. Samsung smartphones have already had a feature for voice recognition features using the S-Voice. Reports say that voice-powered assistant (Bixby) will get incorporated in all of the Samsung Galaxy S8’s native applications.
As per the Sam Mobile’s trusted sources, Bixby will be much more “advanced” than the S-Voice. The reports also mentioned that the S-Voice will be replaced by Bixby in the Samsung Galaxy S8. Bixby will be able to give answers and actions based on the context, similar to Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri.

The report says that all the native applications will incorporate a new user interface (UI) so that they all have a similar pattern. The status bar will show the indication when the Bixby in use, which makes the users easy to access notifications and quick settings.

Bixby, the most advanced AI assistance powered by Viv labs, the Samsung acquired December 2016. Viv labs were co-founded by Dag Kittlaus, Adam Cheyer, and Chris Brigham, they introduced Siri, which was later acquired by Apple in the year 2010.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is said to be the next frontier in this tech world. Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon have been incorporating machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to make their devices more intelligent and user-friendly.

With the incorporation of Bixby in the Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung is going to with the likes of Apple’s Siri, Google Assistant, Amazon’s Alexa, and Microsoft’s Cortana.
